Navigating the IGRA website - A Live Demonstration

Presenter: Garri Regev

Have you been stymied trying to locate records available in Israel? Have you considered researching for your relatives in Israel daunting? Join me for a live demonstration navigating through the website of the Israel Genealogy Research Association (IGRA) and unlock the myriad resources available.

We'll touch on the articles, recorded webinar library, country resources and - of course - the All Israel Database with close to 4,000,000 records. You'll come away with information regarding the kinds of information available - and what isn't available, where you can continue your research and where else to look.

The Israel Genealogy Research Association (IGRA) has been a leader in genealogy in Israel since 2012. A major emphasis of this unique JGS has been to scan, digitize, index and make available to the public records of people in Israel from the 1800s to modern Israel.

Garri Regev has lived in Israel since 1978 and has been doing genealogical research for over 25 years.  She has taught seminars, webinars and courses in Genealogy to a variety of adult and teen groups. In addition, she has spoken at eleven IAJGS Conferences and was involved in programming and running the 2015 IAJGS Conference in Jerusalem. Garri is a founding member and immediate past-president of IGRA (Israel Genealogy Research Association). She was a Director and Vice-President on the Board of LitvakSIG. Garri volunteers at the Genealogy Center at the National Library of Israel and the Central Zionist Archives.
