Description: Please join us for a special presentation from one of the world’s leading Holocaust educators and survivors, Ben Midler, as he candidly shares his experiences of escaping concentration camps, evading execution squads, and surviving the gas chambers. Ben has dedicated his life to educating future generations about the Holocaust. In his own words: “As one of the survivors of the concentration camps, I must live with this experience that has scarred my peers and I forever. I know by now that I survived to be a witness to record, and tell others to the atrocities that took place, in the hope that history should not repeat itself.” His unwavering commitment to sharing his story serves as a powerful reminder of the resilience and strength of survivors.                                                                           

Bio:
Ben Midler was born in Bialystok, Poland in 1928, Ben came of age during the tumult of World War II. He was the only survivor of the Holocaust in his family, forced to persevere through life in the ghetto and six concentration camps. After the Holocaust, Ben moved to Israel and fought in the War of Independence in 1948. Decades later, Ben wrote The Life of A Child Survivor from Bialystok, Poland to document his experience during the Holocaust. He has also been a speaker at the 2021 San Diego Comic-Con as a real-life hero, and he is an unpaid motivational speaker for the US Army. Ben speaks at 30-40 schools a year, talking about his experience in the concentration camps, his message is universal, positive, life-affirming, and personal.
